Boris Räber advises clients on national and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity and venture capital deals, as well as corporate reorganizations and shareholder matters. He has extensive experience acting for both strategic and financial investors, and regularly leads complex buy-side and sell-side mandates. Boris also routinely supports start-ups and growth companies, as well as investors, across the full company lifecycle — from financings (equity and debt), investment structures and shareholder arrangements to exits and post-exit matters.

In addition to his transactional work, Boris advises on shareholder disputes, corporate restructurings, relocations and a wide range of general corporate and corporate governance issues. He is a trusted advisor to boards of directors and management teams, who value his pragmatic and commercially-minded advice. His board-level perspective is informed by many years of experience as a director and managing director in over a dozen companies spanning various industries.

Boris Räber completed his legal traineeship at VISCHER AG in Zurich from 2011-2012, worked at Schellenberg Wittmer AG from 2013-2014 and practiced law at Walder Wyss AG in Zurich from 2014-2022.

He studied law at the Universities of Zurich (BLaw, MLaw) and Salzburg and holds a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in International Business Law from King’s College London. He has also earned a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (London). During his studies, he gained valuable experience working at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich and in the legal department of a leading outsourcing service provider. He also brings his own entrepreneurial perspective as founder of a successful start-up.

Boris is fluent in German and English, and also speaks Italian and French. He is admitted to the Zurich Bar and authorised to represent clients before all Swiss courts.
