Roland Lüthy has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity and venture capital deals, restructurings, financing transactions and joint ventures. His practice also covers capital market and stock exchange regulation, corporate governance, sanctions law and foreign direct investment control.

He advises SMEs, larger companies, individual investors, board members, founders and executives on these matters and on general contract, commercial and corporate law. He also supports clients in translating legal and regulatory requirements into effective internal processes.

His professional experience combines roles as external counsel, in-house counsel and leadership positions in corporate legal departments, as well as experience as a board member of and investor in start-up companies.

Roland Lüthy’s career spans positions in Bank Julius Bär & Co. Ltd., at a cantonal commercial court as well as in the M&A/Corporate team of the law firm Homburger. Before joining Advoro, he served as Head Legal, Company Secretary and Deputy General Counsel (2022-2026) at the Sulzer Group, an industrial group listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. Subsequently, he served as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary (2026-2027) of the medmix Group, a medical and industrial products company also listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

Roland Lüthy holds a law degree from the University of Zurich (lic. iur., 2006) and an MBA from INSEAD (2014).

Roland is fluent in German and English and also speaks French.

He is registered with the Bar of the Canton of Zurich and is authorized to represent clients before courts throughout Switzerland.
