Dr. Tamara Teves is a recognized expert in financial market law, with many years of experience advising on legal aspects of innovative financial products, platforms, and technologies. She provides comprehensive support to clients; from initial concept development through to structuring and obtaining FINMA authorizations and SRO registrations for regulatory-compliant solutions.

Her clients include internationally active financial institutions such as banks and hedge funds, as well as payment service providers, fintechs, technology companies, and both innovative and traditionally positioned financial service providers, including commodities traders. She provides comprehensive advice on regulatory matters, with a particular focus on banking law, anti-money laundering (AML), financial market and contract law, as well as FinTech, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), and blockchain.

Dr. Tamara Teves spent several years working in the FinTech team at MME Legal AG in Zurich. She also gained hands-on regulatory experience at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in Bern and at the Supervisory Organization for Asset Managers and Trustees in Zug.

Dr. Tamara Teves studied law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), and completed research stays at NYU Law School and UCLA School of Law. In addition, she earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Financial Market Law from the Europa Institute at the University of Zurich. During her studies, she worked for a leading US technology company and a Swiss private bank.

Tamara is based in Zurich and works primarily in German and English. She regularly publishes on current topics within her fields of expertise.
